CORALLINE KALEIDOSCOPE

Hawaii

1

Hawaii offers a visual feast of underwater worlds. The volcanic atoll of Molokini, off the South Maui coast, accessible only by boat, is home to a sunken Carthaginian replica of a 19th-century supply vessel and teems with schools of iridescent fish, reef sharks and stingrays. Meanwhile, at picturesque Honaunau Bay, on the south-west side of Hawaii Island, divers and snorkellers can swim with green sea turtles among gardens of technicolour coral.

HIDDEN TREASURES

Vanuatu

2

The SS President Coolidge is Vanuatu’s star diving attraction and the largest wreck dive in the world. During World War II, this 22,000-ton troop ship sank just off Espiritu Santo island. Today, you can still discover the guns, helmets and gas masks strewn across the decks, as well as treasure troves of wartime machinery. There are shallow sections that are appropriate for beginner divers and challenging areas for the more advanced.

STUNNING SUB-CULTURE

Bora Bora

3

Embark on a unique submarine excursion in Bora Bora’s famed lagoon and witness vibrant reefs and abundant marine life in extreme close-up. This extraordinary underwater expedition, led by experts, will descend to depths of 30m and offer 360° panoramic views through crystal-clear, emerald waters. Encounter curious Napoleon wrasses, black-tip sharks, barracudas and moray eels. For non-divers, this is perhaps the ultimate way to experience the breathtaking beauty of the ocean.
